Fees shown are Kolkata market ranges — from affordable institutes to premium benchmarks (Goethe, Alliance Française, British Council). LNS fees sit in the competitive-to-affordable range. Call or WhatsApp to confirm the current LNS batch rate.
Online fees are 20–40% lower than offline. Both modes cover the same curriculum, use the same materials and include the same assessments.
Exam fees are completely separate from coaching fees. IELTS (₹19,000), Goethe-Zertifikat (₹7,000–₹12,000), JLPT (₹1,500–₹2,500), HSK (₹1,500–₹3,500) — all paid directly to the exam body, not to LNS.
Books and study materials may vary by batch. We tell you upfront what's included. Budget ₹500–₹2,000 per level for books if not included.
LNS issues its own ISO 9001:2015-backed certificate after the internal exam at no extra charge. External certifications are taken independently.

Certification exam options (separate fee, paid to exam body):
| Exam | Administered by | Purpose | Exam fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cambridge English (FCE/CAE) | Cambridge Assessment English | Global proficiency certification | ₹15,000–₹22,000 |
| TOEIC | ETS | Workplace English proof | ₹5,500–₹7,500 |

Student notes: No age limit — school students, freshers and working professionals all attend. Many institutes offer combined Beginner→Advanced packages. Personality development is commonly bundled from Intermediate onward. Practice outside class (daily reading, speaking, listening in English) accelerates progress far more than class time alone.
2. IELTS Coaching Fees
IELTS is band-scored (1–9) — not a pass/fail exam. Coaching prepares you for your target band. The exam is booked separately via IDP or British Council.
| Course type | Coverage | Duration | Hours | Offline fee | Online fee |

| Full Course (Academic or General) | All 4 modules: Listening (30 min, 40 Qs), Reading (60 min, 40 Qs), Writing (60 min, 2 tasks), Speaking (11–14 min) + full-length timed mocks + band analysis + 1:1 feedback | 4–12 weeks | 80–120 hrs | ₹10,000–₹40,000 | ₹6,000–₹25,000 |

- Reading (~20 hrs): Academic — 3 long passages from journals/books; General — ads, manuals, newspapers. T/F/Not Given, matching, sentence completion

|---|---|---|
| IELTS Academic | University admission, professional registration (nursing, medicine) | ₹19,000 |
| IELTS General Training | Canada/Australia/UK/NZ PR, work visa, migration | ₹19,000 |
| IELTS UKVI | UK visa & immigration (specific requirement) | ₹19,250 |
| IELTS Life Skills (A1/B1) | UK family reunion / settlement visa | ₹18,000 |
Career goals: Study abroad (12,000+ institutions, 140+ countries), Canada/Australia/UK/NZ PR, work visa, professional registration (medical, nursing, engineering), academic scholarships (Band 7+), multinational company roles.
Band requirements by destination:
- Canada Express Entry: CLB 7 ≈ Band 6.0 per module (competitive target: CLB 9 ≈ 7.5 Listening / 7.0 Reading, Writing, Speaking)
- Australia SkillSelect: Band 6.0–7.0
- UK Tier 4 (student visa): Band 5.5–7.0 depending on university
- UK Skilled Worker visa: Band 5.0–7.0
Student notes: Academic Reading/Writing differs from General Training; Listening and Speaking are identical across both types. Computer-delivered results in 3–5 days vs 13 days for paper-based (paper-based ending June 26, 2026). No retake limit — scores valid 2 years. Mock tests with band analysis are the #1 differentiator between effective and ineffective IELTS coaching.

Student notes: Goethe-Institut (₹28,500/level) is 2–3× pricier than LNS but offers 160 teaching units. If budget matters, learn A1–B1 at LNS and consider Goethe for B2+ exam prep. Textbooks (Menschen/Netzwerk) cost ₹500–₹1,500 extra. Nursing/healthcare pathway: A1→B1 in 9–14 months is realistic. Batch type matters — intensive (4 days/week) vs weekend vs online.

Student notes: Mandarin's 4 tones are non-negotiable — mispronouncing a tone changes meaning entirely; good audio instruction is essential from day one. Certification exam options (taken in the Netherlands — prepared in India):
| Exam | Administered by | Purpose | Exam fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Staatsexamen NT2 Programme I (B1) | DUO (Dutch government) | Vocational study/work in Netherlands; inburgering | €100–€150 (paid in NL) |

Career goals: Study in Netherlands (many English-taught Master's programmes; Dutch helps for part-time work and staying on post-study), Dutch MNCs in India and Netherlands (Philips, Shell, Unilever, ASML, Heineken, Booking.com, ING), inburgering (integration) for long-term NL residence, Belgium/Flanders jobs and study, rare niche advantage (very few Indian professionals speak Dutch).
Student notes: Dutch is one of the easiest languages for English speakers — shared vocabulary, similar grammar structure. If you already know German, Dutch is significantly easier (many shared words and structures). Very few Kolkata institutes teach Dutch — quality varies; online learning is a strong option. NT2/inburgering exams are taken in the Netherlands; your Kolkata preparation gets you exam-ready on arrival. Books (De Delftse methode/Contact!/Code Plus) cost ₹500–₹1,500.

Online vs Offline — Which Should You Choose?
Both modes cover the same curriculum, use the same materials and include the same assessments. Online fees are typically 20–40% lower.
Choose offline if you prefer face-to-face interaction, live speaking practice, or need in-person accountability. Convenient for students near Dum Dum, Airport Gate and north Kolkata.
Choose online if you're outside north Kolkata, have an irregular schedule or prefer lower fees. For language courses, live online classes work very well — full board visibility, real-time pronunciation feedback and interactive speaking practice are all present.
